Hertfordshire Girls 7's Tournament a success 26 May 2010
TringRugby club were the host venue for the 2010 Hertfordshire Girls 7's Tournament on Sunday 16th May; with 40 school and club teams from Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Kent, Oxfordshire and Worcestershire in attendance. After competing in league pool stages, the semi-finals and finals were keenly contested with some open and flowing rugby being played across the U15s and U18s sections; while the U12s played in a round-robin league format to decide the champions. We were pleased to be able to support the event with 1st team players Warren Fury and Marty Veale joining the Wasps character mascot Sting to present medals and trophies. The results were:

Wasps Community Rugby Coach Ryan Hunt thought the Tournament was an excellent event and told TringRugby, "The popularity and growth of Girls Rugby in our community has been excellent and will hopefully gain even more profile when England host the upcoming 2010 Rugby World Cup. We are trying to do more to access the Women's & Girl's Games and look forward to continuing our partnerships to fully embrace the opportunities available to us." Hert's Women's Rugby Chairman, Peter McCullough said "the event was the largest held by Hert's RFU ladies section and to his knowledge the largest women's event held in the UK todate and it was a credit to all at TringRugby that the day went smoothly and all who attended left with positive comments."
Mighty 4ths Win League and Cup Double! 26 April 2010
The 4th Team beat Hatfield 2nds 49-10 on Saturday in the Merit Table Finals, played at Cow Lane, to cap an amazing season - 19 wins out of 19 matches. There could only be 18 Players selected on Saturday, but congratulations must go to everyone who Played, Managed, Coached, etc. throughout the year
TringRugby Golf Day : 5th June 2010 12 April 2010
If you would like to attend what has always been a great fun day out, then join us for what will be the 3rd TRING GOLF DAY and hope will be the BIGGEST and BEST yet. We have booked it on a Saturday at the end of the season to ensure we don't disappoint those who couldn't make a week day, as with previous years. We would like to see as many golf playing parents, members and senior players attending this event as possible. There is a limited number of tee-off times so registrations will be on a first-come first served basis. COME ON, be inspired by the Masters and join us and help raise funds for YOUR club! This event is designed to raise vital funds for the club whilst providing a great day out at a fabulous local venue, Mentmore Golf & Country Club. The day will take the following format:
- Register between 11.30am - 12.30pm
- Bacon baguettes & coffee on arrival
- Warm up on the driving range or putting green
- Tee-off times from 1.00pm
- 18 holes on the excellent Championship Rosebery Course
- Nearest the hole and longest drive comps with a difference!
- Fun prizes!
- 2- course dinner from 6.00pm
The cost of the day is £65.00 which includes all of the above with a minimum of £10 going towards TRING RUFC club funds. A deposit of £30 is required. All golfers welcome who are able to play golf to a reasonable standard and familiar with usual golf etiquette. Strict golf dress code applies, no jeans, trainers, collarless shirts permitted. Tailored golf shorts permitted with short or long white socks.
