At Christmas John advised me of his intention to stand down from his post at the end of the season. He has been a fantastic servant for the club, not only giving up his time but as a sponsor through Tring Park Day Nursery. John’s knowledge of the club, understanding of the wider issues we face and his help to me in my first year as Chair has been invaluable. You will still find John at Cow Lane watching games and we hope that he will be around the club for many years to come. Thank you John for everything you have done for so many years, we are eternally grateful.
The Management Board are pleased to announce, that with immediate effect, Mike Ward has accepted the post of Director of Rugby for TringRugby. Mike has also been at the club for many years as a both a coach and a player, and he brings a wealth of experience to the post. We will now support Mike as he starts work in building a structure around the senior teams with the aim being to get the 1st team promoted next season, maintain the 2nds, 3rds and 4th teams and support the newly formed Vets team. Our target is to field 5 teams on a weekend on a regular basis next season. I am sure you will all welcome Mike to his new role and support him as he takes up his new post.
