Name: Martyn Kirk
Known As: Kirky or Ginger Loon
Age: 62
Height: 5ft 10 and shrinking
Weight: 15st and expanding
Playing Position: Boiler Room, Leaping Salmon
Primary Team: TringRugby
Playing History: Tring 2s, 3s, 4s and 5s. A one club man from player to Chairman to President.
Greatest Rugby Achievement: Spent one whole season in Tring 2nds in the 1840s. It's been downhill ever since!
What do you want to achieve this season?: Drink more and be louder.
Which 4 guests would you invite to dinner and why? Willie John McBride - because he never returns my calls when I invite him to the VPs dinner. Wayne Shelford (and his manager) - to apologies to both of them for inappropriate sexuality questions. Ian Lewington - Chairman of Tring Cricket Club - as his speeches make me sound good. Ross Hopcroft of Tabard - for his sparkling wit and repartee.
What single item would you take to a desert island? An endless supply of IPA
Who is the best player in the world? In my world, Tom Newton.
Who is your sporting hero? Rachel Heyhoe-Flint
