Our newly formed Girls Rugby section is for new or experienced players, the section develops team skills in a fun, informative and safe environment, we also partake in regular training / match sessions with other Hertfordshire teams. The emphasis of our section is to develop each player whilst they learn rugby skills. Our dedicated team ensures each session is tailored to every ability.
Girls have traditionally played in mixed gender teams until age 11, then they have had to leave Tring to continue their rugby journey we launched this season a girls section for ages 10 and upwards. Our girls section ambassador is Zoe Harrison, who started playing rugby at Tring, she went on to represent Hertfordshire girls and was signed by Saracens and is their and England Fly Half.
Tring offers rugby development with qualified coaches who all have DBS certificates, the team will play at a variety of girls rugby festivals in Hertfordshire in the season but above all they will have great fun whilst learning about team spirit and how to play rugby at a established club.
