Great result from the A team on Sunday by finishing off their league fixtures this season with a 5 – 0 win over Hitchin. In a tough match Tring went ahead with a try after 10 minutes dominating the first half. Hitchin got their act together in the second half, but the Tring defence was very solid.
This was the best team performance of the season from the lads, really well done from the coaches & supporters. Tring U15’s are currently top of Division two with one match between Fullers & Hitchin to play that will affect the final D2 standings and promotion places to D1.
Due to the continued poor condition of pitches and training areas at the club today’s’ 29th Jan Wed night training session has been moved indoors to Tring School Gym for the U15’s only.
Also for this week only the times will be - 8pm to 9pm.
For clarity this is NOT the sports hall at Tring school but the Tring School GYM which is located to the right of the sports centre facilities.
Tring travelled to Hertford on Sunday 19th Jan for a U15’s Herts County Cup quarter final fixture.
Tring narrowly lost in the last seven minutes 17 – 10 following a breakaway try from Hertford.
Tring matched a very good Hertford (Dv1) team throughout the whole match and were ahead 10-5 at the beginning of the second half.
This was a very competitive match played in the right sprit and was the best performance from the Tring A this season despite the final score line.
Well done to all 19 squad players who all contributed to this team performance.
