Welcome to Tring Rugby U11s, there's no better time to get involved!
Our first training session of the 2017/18 season will be Sunday September 3rd 2017 - 10am. You will find us up the slope on the upper "training area” above the bowls club and container. This year is about fun, scoring tries, making new friends and most importantly learning to play the game in a safe environment.
It’s a very exciting year in the U11s as we introduce new and exciting elements of the game within Kids First Rugby (new rules of play). These rules are specifically designed by the RFU to provide a structured progression for kids through the age groups, increasing their involvement and this year the players will see the introduction of an extra player the ruck and the maul plus kicking from hand.
The teams will be taking part in various friendly and festival fixtures around the county and further afield throughout the season from October. We field numerous U 11 teams and all players will get the opportunity to play in appropriate fixtures. The season will culminate in the Hertfordshire County Festival and our end of season "Mini Rangers Tour". Last year this was to Butlins Bognor Regis for the Tigers Challenge.
We look to provide a fun, supportive and challenging environment where kids can learn new skills, work as a team, keep fit and just as importantly make friends and gain confidence.
The club offers social events for both the kids and parents. We encourage everyone to join in, it’s your rugby club. We’re proud to be part of Tring Rugby.
Remember all new players, boys and girls, (school year 6) are welcome to join in training sessions and can try the sport for a few weeks without commitment. All abilities are always welcome, there's absolutely no need for prior experience and we’re a friendly bunch. All of our coaches are RFU qualified.
So, if you’d like to have a go please either just pop along to a training session (please check the fixture lists) or drop me a line if you have questions or just want a chat on U11@tringrugby.com
See you in September
