Tring Rugby
What is TringRugby?
TringRugby is the bringing together of the Mini & Junior, Ladies and Senior sections within Tring Rugby Union Football Club into one organisation.
Its aim is to make Tring the best sustainable Rugby Club in the UK.
This means we want to secure future provision for all calibres of player whether 1st team or 5th team, A team or C team. There will always be a place for you and your children at Tring Rugby Club.
We are committed to remaining an amateur club. This means we will never pay players to play for the club and each player will pay their annual subscriptions and match fees as appropriate.
It will take time for this transition to be fully implemented but both the Mini & Junior and the Senior committees are 100% behind this initiative. We are working towards next season when we hope to have everything in place.
What TringRugby involves:
At this stage TringRugby is the amalgamation of both committees with a vision to pool and make use of all the resources and skills of all those people involved with TringRugby.
The club will be directed by an executive decision-making committee with strong sub-committees allowing us to cover areas such as grounds, social, playing, welfare and facilities more efficiently than we have been able to do previously.
What are the benefits of TringRugby?
As a combined club we will have in excess of 600 playing and associated members and TringRugby will build a stronger identity throughout the club, the town and the local area.
By showing a clear path from U7`s on a Sunday morning to playing for the 1st Team on a Saturday afternoon we aim to continue the current success that the club has enjoyed over the last few seasons.
As a collective identity the club is more attractive to both our sponsors and suppliers. As a result we are will be able to achieve better deals in terms of funding and purchasing.
How are we delivering TringRugby
The most obvious development is the new Canterbury playing shirt. Every person representing Tring RUFC will now be wearing the same shirt whatever age group or level they play at.
We are building up stock for a shop. This is an incredibly time consuming and at times frustrating process and we are thankful to Charles Lewis for his time and efforts in getting the ball rolling. The shop, with the facility to pay by debit or credit card (which you can also use at the bar), will be open in the near future.
A new website is being developed to replace both the M&J and Senior sites. Rather like the shop this is taking a lot of time to get right but we hope to see some developments soon.
How can you help TringRugby?
TringRugby is run entirely by volunteers who bring in professional services when it is the only way forward. We need lots of help from people within the club to drive our club forward and to achieve our aim. News on the various new committees will be available soon and we hope that you will find the time to get involved.
