Good effort all round

Tring 2nds faced unknown Richmond 4ths. It was clear in the warm up the selection did not work for lineouts and with a few faces missing at a scrum session on Thursday we struggled on this aspect making the platform not great. Errors in defense nearly always result in points. When Tring played they looked dangerous and did manage to break defences but all too often unforced errors and good defense scuppered too many opportunities. Tacling was below Parr for too many players and given the quality in the Richmond side they got behind our defences and punished us. There were some real positives too but in this league we will not get away with missing tackles. I thought Trings backrow were very good. Dave C is fit and played hugely better than I have ever seen him. Jp motm gave a strong error free game as ever. Ed Harrison must start to realize he is a player and gave a pretty faulless half of rugby. Alex had a steady game showing what a good player he is but is needed to get on the ball more. Charlie played very well and looks quicker and more of a threat this season. A well contested game at a good level but there are a couple of basic things we need to put right. And finally Martin Nice was superb again. Destructive honest player.
