- It's a Double Header...

I'm digging out the thermals and bobble hat to join Rugby legend Jason Leonard on a challenge to raise £100k for a school for kids in Africa.
- Steve Hayes - Chairman, Tring Rugby

Dear Tring RFC Supporter,

The link below explains an Iceland Trek which I am participating in at the end of March and for which I would like to ask for your support

https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/stevehayes

I know that over 2017 you will be asked to contribute to many Charites however, as you will see this is a double up charity as the monies raised for children in the Ivory Coast will be matched for Tring RFC.

Whatever you can spare to help rugby loving children here at Tring and abroad would be gratefully appreciated.

Thank you for your much needed support.

Best wishes
Steve

Through this challenge, I am raising money for the ATLAS Foundation to build a school in the Ivory Coast. ATLAS is working with Philippe Sella’s charity, Les Enfants de L’Ovale (EDO), to provide the same opportunities for children in Africa that Jason Leonard and Philippe Sella found through rugby.

For every pound raised, up to £15,000, I will personally match this with a donation to my own rugby club, Tring RFC, for their new club house.

This four day Icelandic Challenge is hugely challenging and includes scaling walls of ice, conquering the summit of the active Henglill Volcano and hiking to Reyjadular Valley, led by highly experienced professional mountaineers.

The challenge for the kids in Africa is harder still, how to learn and to play when your school has no pitch, no electricity and no water.

The gallery on this page shows their current pitch which is dust in the summer and a mud bath in the rain.

Please help me support them and my local club by making a donation on this page, or contacting me personally.
