Tring Rugby’s Mini and Junior section has had another successful season on and off the pitch, and on Sunday Zoe Harrison (ex Tring mini, Saracens Tyrell’s premiership winner and England fly-half) presented children from each age with awards.

Over 100 volunteers including coaches, team managers, 1st aiders, registration, training and development people give up their time each week so over 400 children from Tring, Berkhamsted and surrounding villages can enjoy playing rugby. This year the club’s senior section players gave up their Sunday mornings as well. A special thanks to George Hayes for his support on this initiative - the kids absolutely love it! Our Academy coaches also helped the players and coaches, particularly in our junior section and worked with us to develop a player pathway from junior rugby into the senior section.

Mark Firth, M&J chair started the awards by thanking Jon Westcott and Andy Yule, Junior and Mini section chairs for their time and effort, and presented Jacquie Worrall, our Cubs lead coach with an special recognition award.

Sunday mornings at Tring Rugby are vibrant, educational and fun. Over the summer we will host pre-season fitness sessions on Wednesday evenings (details to be announced shortly) and our popular week-long summer camp is on 20th to 24th August. Next season Tring will launch a ladies section, starting with an U13s age group, so girls aged 11 to 13 can continue their rugby at Tring from now on.
