Inspirational Tring Captain Nick "Radders" Radley scored 4 tries in 11 magical minutes as Tring eased past Chingford in the penultimate league fixture of the season.
Nick's Father Mark "Rad" Radley who captained the club in the 90s was sick of people coming up to him that afternoon asking "Did you ever score 4 tries in your career?"
Tring now look likely to be in a play off at Cow lane on 30th April to play the second placed team in London South 1 for the right to play once again in the national league structure. Mathematically Tring can still win the league but its unlikely as to do so Amersham and Chiltern would have to miss out on a bonus point against Barking, who Tring beat 87-0 last week.
Tring kept up their strong finish to the season, unbeaten in their last 15 games and the only side to have an unblemished home record, which is testament to the following of the many supporters home and away.
Try scorers Radley 4, Ward 2, Green 2 Criddle2 and 1 each for Hicks, Beeny and Mowbray. Newton 8 conversions
Please come up the the club on the 30th to cheer your local team back to the national leagues. KO 3pm. Outside bar and catering/BBQ.
