Three games into the league season and the third team are unbeaten. With more emphasis in attack than defence this week the team came through an exciting game of rugby with another win. At this point it is important to use a cliched phrase from professional sportsmen and say credit to Watford who turned up short of players but were still keen to fulfill the fixture. Where many other teams would just concede they were happy to play, which is great for the spirit of the game. We saw some good performances from the players this week and MOM Duncan Maddinson impressing again before he flies of home to Australia. I have offered him a position as the oversees player for the 3rd team but I am not sure one beer a week will convince him. It is also important to thank Gareth Haywood at this point who as Vice Captain has stepped up well, having to deal with some tricky fixtures during my absence, and friendly opposition thinking it is ok to play a first team against us! Which actually hasn't done any harm and the players have fronted up well. On wards and upwards for an Away Fixture at Fullarians 3's this Saturday who are sure to be a physical and combative team, Always a good game against them, and the team are looking forward to getting on the pitch again.Until next week, 3's are good but 4 is better!
