As expected this proved to be a tough and physical fixture. Thanks has to go to the 15 who turned up to play for Tring. They have all shown good commitment to the club and team this week. The match started well with Tring soaking up some hard running from Fullarians. This continued throughout the match. On 8 minutes after quick recycled ball on the left, just outside of the opposition 22 Nick Game put through a kick for the outside backs to chase down. Rory Sore was fastest to the ball and scored his first try for the club. Fullarians continued to run hard, but Tring defended well and Nick Game added two penalties to lead 11-5 at half time. In the 2nd half Tring became slightly disjointed (as were some peoples fingers) as injuries crept in and without substitutes the team had to be shuffled around. We are sure Ash Baker was dislocating his own players fingers on purpose, just so he could put them back in again! Fair play to the 15 who all remained on the pitch and battled hard, but ultimately the direct running of Fullarians took its toll and it has to be said, they deserved to win a very physical game played in good spirit.
Man of the match this week was Luke Sibley who once again showed how much he loves to tackle.
