Match Report - TringRugby 27 - 5 Fullerians

By Stephanie Yule

Ben Dumpleton tells us about the game.

Saturday saw TringRugby 3s take on a well drilled Fullerians side in testing conditions.

With Jack Draper and Jack Hunter playing in the back row Tring managed to dominate the early exchanges with those big boys making many tackles and running the ball up.

Tring capitalised on some sloppy Fullers handling to score their first try. Towards the end of the first half Tring withstood a lot of Fullerians pressure, managing to hold out until half time.

Trings discipline was superb throughout the match and their ability to maintain possession was much improved from previous weeks. Fullerians gave away penalties which enabled Chris Blunt to kick Tring into good positions.

In the second half Chris Blunt scored two breakaway tries which was reward for a lot of hard work.

Towards the end of the match Dan Boniface and Jack Joyce marshalled their troops and organised the defence well.

A great result and a much needed win for the 3s.

Next week Camelot !! Please make yourself available.

Man of the match : jack hunter . A solid performance and a lad who I'm sure will one day be playing a couple of teams above.

Where next?

Sweet 17 for Tring Tring thirds welcomed Enfield seconds to Cow Lane for a merit table league game on a chilly late autumn afternoon.
