Tring Academy defeated by Chinnor

A very disappointing final score which did not fully reflect the game.

Tring started well and for 10 minutes were easily the better team, however after a long clearance kick by Chinnor, Tring failed to clear our lines and our defenders became isolated. Thus followed 10 minutes of Chinnor pressure which resulted in a Chinnor try, followed by two more quick tries due to poor Tring tackling.

17-0 down at half time, Tring picked up the pace in the second half and made a number of great breaks, however failed to capitalise on their chances despite spending a significant amount of time up in Chinnors 22.

Excellent defending by Chinnor set up a number of opportunities and Tring I am afraid were found lacking in defence again, missing key tackles at key times to let Chinnors winger in twice on the outside.

However all the lads kept working hard until the final whistle and so full marks for effort and hopefully we can work on some the areas we were found a little lacking in today.

Man of the Match for Tring was Noah, however some other notable performances ran this close.
