A win for Tring 22-12 with 2 x tries from Robbie Johnson, 1 x try from Ben Sainsbury and a penalty and two conversions by Ben Hogan
Both Tring and Diss started brightly and were clearly up for the game. In wet and muddy conditions and after some early Tring pressure an interception by Diss saw them take the lead with a break away try.
Diss then piled on the pressure and scored again, 12-0 Diss with only 15 minutes on the board.
The Tring coaches made a couple of changes and Tring immediately scored to get back to 12-5 at Half Time.
After the break Tring built phase after phase to go 12-12 and eventually managed to get ahead 19-12 after some fantastic kicking out from the backs and strong forward play.
5 minutes to go and Ben Hogan secured the win with a reassured penalty and the forwards rucked and mauled the game out.
A great team performance against a very good Diss side and very competitive all round the park.
Well deserved Man of the Match for Tring was Robbie Johnson playing centre, closely followed by all the team and our pack who worked their socks off in the tough conditions.
Hussah – Go on the Tring!
