In fairness a strong and physical Hitchin side started the game far better than Tring, who for the second game in a row missed key tackles and struggled to find form in the first half.
17-0 to Hitchin at Half Time and as a Tring supporter you could easily be expecting a major score against you, however with 20 minutes to go Tring finally rallied and stepped up to take control, with some fabulous Rugby.
Phase after phase of possession saw Nunn & Johnson score, a strong overall pack performance and awesome rolling maul put Tring back in contention and a great individual try from Danny Peps. Sully’s kicking in the second half was supreme as we pushed for the win and Hitchin simply had no answer.
Man of the Match for Tring for the second game running was Aaron Dutch who made numerous try saving tackles and turn over’s and Man of the Match for Hitchin for Me was their No 12.
Great game, unbelievable second half (in fact last 20 minutes) for Tring.
