Our first training session of the 2018/19 season will be Sunday September 2nd 2018 - 10am. You will usually find us up the slope on pitch 3 (furthest from clubhouse) to the left, above the bowls club and container. This year is about fun, scoring tries, making new friends and most importantly learning to play the game in a safe environment.
It’s a very exciting year in the u13s as we introduce new and exciting elements of the game within Kids First Rugby (new rules of play). These rules are specifically designed by the RFU to provide a structured progression for kids through the age groups, increasing their involvement, This year now in junior rugby, the players will see the introduction of an extra player to the pitch (13) and a fully contested scrum.
The teams will be taking part in various friendly fixtures around the county and further afield throughout the season from October. We will be fielding two teams and all players will get the opportunity to play in appropriate fixtures. The season will culminate in the Hertfordshire County Festival and our end of season tour, players, siblings and parents are all welcome and this years venue will be announced shortly.
We look to provide a fun, supportive and challenging environment where kids can learn new skills, work as a team, keep fit and just as importantly make friends and gain confidence. Remember all new players (boys, school year 8) are welcome to join in training sessions and can try the sport for a few weeks without commitment. All abilities are always welcome, there's absolutely no need for prior experience and we’re a friendly bunch. All of our coaches are RFU trained.
So, if you’d like to have a go please either just pop along to a training session (please check the fixture lists) or drop me a line if you have questions or just want a chat on U13@tringrugby.com
