They duly delivered a commendable result finishing third, which was particularly credible amongst strong opposition; and provides a really good foundation to build on for the season. Throughout the day the boys were a credit to the club and Im sure they have taken away positives to learn from in this highly competitive environment.
Tring v Windsor : 30 - 30
This was real end to end stuff. Notable early issues were tagging with a few soft tries but the boys were running very confidently with ball in hand.
Tries: Adam Y, Adam K, Harry (2), Samuel, Ben
Tring v Beaconsfield : 25 - 10
After the previous game during the break particular emphasis was placed upon speed, organisation and tagging which paid dividends as Tring lived up to the name “Tigers”, chasing down tag after tag in possibly our best series of play on the day.
Tries: Charlie (2), Adam Y, Myles (2)
Tring v Saracens : 15-15
Unfortunately the one that got away; a scrappy game where our speed and organisation became an issue and was punished by the opposition.
Tries: Adam K, Charlie, Josh
Tring V Amersham & Chiltern B : 40 - 15
A fast paced game where Tring came out fast and piled on the points including a length of the field try from Ben.
Tries: Ben, Myles, Josh (4), Adam Y (2)
Tring V Amersham & Chiltern A : 15 – 25
Chilterns A team provided a much harder test for the boys and after half time the speed and size of Chiltern began to tell as the Tring boys tired at the end of a long day.
Tries: Harry, Adam Y
