The format being a friendly round robin of 3 matches; between Tring Tigers, Tring Leopards and Watford RFC. Yet again the players represented the club with pride, and Im sure all teams have taken away ideas and items to work on. There were some spectacular tries and outstanding tagging this morning so all the boys should be pleased with their performances.
Tigers v Watford : 8-3 (40–15)
Tigers dominated this game throughout (5-0 HT); showing speed returning back to the line and attacking with ball in hand. Tagging performances were strong with all players getting stuck in and chasing tags down, as Watford struggled to respond and were being overwhelmed. The team began to take their foot off the gas in the second half conceding largely soft tries
Tries: Adam (4), Benjamin, Charlie, Jack, Ollie
Tigers v Leopards : 7 – 2 (35–10)
Again Tigers were again particularly dominant in the first half as the Leopards were slow to settle down into the game, with their organisation becoming an issue and the Tigers applying constant pressure with tags and breaks. The second half was disappointing for both teams with both confusion and congestion in the midfield plus attention drifting.
Tigers
Tries: Adam (2) Charlie (2); Jack, Samuel, Ollie,
Leopards
Tries: Charlie G, George L
Leopards V Watford : 2 – 3 (10-15)
This was a largely scrappy game, with poor organisation being felt a factor in the loss which the Leopards realistically should have won, with balls being ran into touch. A notable try from George D, the length of the pitch, provided the highlight, having earlier had a similar try disallowed due to a foot in touch.
Tries: Liam, George D.
