Training is on Sunday morning from 10:00 until 12:00 and you will find us up the slope on the lower training area just above the bowls club but just ask anybody around the club and they will be able to direct you to us.
This season will see us bringing in a number new elements with the main changes being the increase in playing numbers to 8 per team and the introduction of a simplified form of the ruck and maul. These rules are specifically designed by the RFU to provide a structured progression for children through the age groups and as a coaching team we will ensure that all of our squad learn the new skills in a controlled, safe and enjoyable environment.
We field numerous U10 teams and all of our players will have the opportunity to take part in various friendly and festival fixtures throughout the season. The club also runs a weekend long "Mini Rangers Tour" to which all players, siblings and parents are welcome.
Remember all new players, boys and girls, (school year 5) are welcome to join in training sessions and can give things a try for a few weeks without commitment. All abilities are welcome, there's absolutely no need for prior experience. We are lucky to have a fantastic group of coaches who are constantly looking to provide a fun, supportive and challenging environment where all of our players can learn new skills, work as a team, keep fit and just as importantly make friends and gain confidence.
You'll find us a friendly bunch, so if you’d like to give rugby a go please feel free to come along to a training session.
If you are coming along after September It would be a good idea to check the fixture list on the website or drop me a line in order for me to confirm that we are not at an away fixture.
If you have any questions at all or just want a chat please feel free to get in touch.
