First Session of the Season !

Hi Everyone,

A big thanks to everyone who turned out yesterday for the first session of the season. We had 31 players embarking on the new 'Full Contact' experience of Rugby. After the warm up we practiced falling correctly and then moved on to set exercises. I was really impressed by how they responded and the players gave 100%.

Some are still a bit wary of making the tackle or getting tackled but over the next couple of weeks we can overcome that and I know when they get the feel for it they will blossom into even better players. Half-way through the heavens opened and I changed the format for the match. In future I hope to have 2 matches going with the relevant numbers of players in each. I had big teams yesterday as I didn't want any players getting cold and wet on the sidelines.

The match was terrific and ALL go involved in some way, making their own decisions and making superb tackles !!! Keep it up. Likewise a big thanks for the great encouragement from the sidelines and hope you keep it up for the season.
