The boys all worked hard, had fun and delivered the first silverware of the season for the Club.
The strong Lions team featured Adam Yule, Albert Eames, Jack Suddick, Harry Woodus, Harley Cook and Will Rouse. Under the new four a side continuum, the boys opened the tournament strongly posting a terrific score against Aylesbury 50 – 15, before Saracens then offered a sterner test with Tring scampering ahead at the final whistle 45-40.
The Tring boys now hit their stride and finished their day unbeaten; first outscoring Beaconsfield 45-15, their hosts Amersham & Chiltern 45-35 and finally overcoming Windsor 40-30 in a very hard fought victory.
A fantastic performance with some 45 tries scored by the Lions!
The U7 Tigers also had a fantastic Day and finished as Runners Up within their section. The squad of Olly Painter, Jim Collins, Judd Farrant, Jackson Miller, Jonty Thornborrow and Zack Barnard.
The team started really well and finished winning 3 games drawing a fantastic contest against Windsor and narrowly losing to a strong A&C Tigers team. The team scored a total of 37 Tries whilst conceding 34 tries. This was a fantastic performance from a young squad. Special mention to Zack Barnard who played fantastically whist feeling poorly. Get well soon Zack!
