New players are always made very welcome, no experience is required. We look to provide a fun, supportive and challenging environment where kids can learn new skills, work as a team, keep fit and just as importantly make friends and gain confidence. Remember all new players (boys, school year 9) are welcome to join in training sessions and can try the sport for a few weeks without commitment. All abilities are always welcome, there's absolutely no need for prior experience and we’re a friendly bunch. All of our coaches are RFU trained.
Our first training session of the 2018/19 season will be Sunday September 8th - 10am. This year is about fun, scoring tries, making new friends and most importantly learning to play the game in a safe environment. We also train Wednesday evenings 7-830PM
It’s a very exciting year in the u14s as we introduce new and exciting elements of the game within Kids First Rugby (new rules of play), this year moving to 15 aside plus line outs. These rules are specifically designed by the RFU to provide a structured progression for kids through the age groups, increasing their involvement, This year now in junior rugby, the players will see the introduction of flankers bringing teams up to the full complement of the 15 aside game.
The teams will be taking part in various friendly fixtures around the county and further afield. We will be fielding two teams and all players will get the opportunity to play in appropriate fixtures, including the Hertfordshire county cup competition. We will be touring in April.
So, if you’d like to have a go please either just pop along to a training session (please check the fixture lists) or drop me a line if you have questions or just want a chat on U14@tringrugby.com
