Huel Tring Rugby U23s provides the crucial next step between the Age Grade pathway and establishing yourself within Senior Rugby at Huel Tring.

The transition into adult rugby doesn't finish when a player leaves Colts. Between the ages of 18 and 23, players may be at university, starting work, moving away from home or simply finding their place within the senior game.

Our U23 programme is designed to keep those players connected to Huel Tring, provide meaningful playing opportunities and support their continued development.

The focus is on helping players become confident and established senior rugby players, while creating opportunities to progress throughout the club's Senior teams.

The Purpose of our U23s

BRIDGE THE GAP – Provide a clear pathway from Colts into established Senior Rugby.

STAY CONNECTED – Keep university players and those living away connected with Huel Tring and provide opportunities to play when they return.

DEVELOP – Continue developing players technically, tactically, physically and mentally beyond the Age Grade pathway.

CREATE OPPORTUNITY – Give young players meaningful opportunities to play, compete and demonstrate their potential.

PROGRESS – Support players with the ambition and potential to move through our Senior teams and challenge for higher-level rugby.

BELONG – Build relationships with Senior players and coaches and create a genuine sense of belonging within the Senior section.

TAKE OWNERSHIP – Players take responsibility for their preparation, performance, development and availability.
