Another good win from the developing U16 squad. We are not quite sure what happened in the first 20 mins but Barnet totally dominated the game with some super handling and rugby in very wet conditions. They showed more drive and determination in the tight and continually rucked us off our own ball as well as producing quick ball themselves. This meant they quickly went 0-12 up with two well taken tries. In the final 15 mins of the first half, the Tring boys started to sharpen up and they scored two tries out wide with some straight hard running. At half time we still trailed 10-19 and were definitely up against it.

The second half started and having given themselves a good talking to at half time, Tring started to dominate the phase play and although there was some tremendous defence from the Barnet lads we started to move away with 3 unanswered tries in the second half. The final score was 29-19.

Matt Davies ran the game well from his unacustomed 10 position, with some superb clearing kicks out of hand in our 22,, which relieved the pressure whenever it was needed. We also had some barnstorming runs from some of our 'squad' lads, of particular mention are Sam Hansford, Finn Maxted, Josh O'Neill, Matt Lindars and Oscar Moorhouse, all of whom really stepped up and looked more and more comfortable with the ball in hand.
