Welcome to TringRugby U12s, there's no better time to get involved!

Hi Everyone,

I am proud to this year be the Head Coach to Tring Rugby U12's. We strive to provide a fun, supportive and challenging environment where all players can learn new skills, work as a team, keep fit and just as importantly make friends and gain confidence.

Our first training session of the 2019/20 season will be Sunday September 8th 2019 at 10:00 am. You will now find us up the slope on pitch 3 (furthest from clubhouse - sorry!) This year - as ever - is about fun, scoring tries, making tackles as well as new friends and most importantly learning to play the game in a safe environment.

We will at all times aim to adhere to the core RFU coaching principles (APES) whilst running our sessions. Meaning that the sessions should be:

A ctive
P urposeful
E njoyable and
S afe

At U12's we will introduce new and exciting elements of the game within Kids First Rugby which are specifically designed by the RFU to provide a structured progression for kids through the age groups, increasing their involvement, This year is preparation and transition to junior rugby the players will see the introduction of an extra 3 players to the pitch, 5 man scrums (still uncontested), unlimited numbers in the ruck and the "hand off" which I know many are looking forward to immensely!

As ever we will be taking part in various friendly and festival fixtures around the county and further afield throughout the season from October onwards. We field multiple teams and all players will get the opportunity to play in appropriate fixtures. The season will culminate in the Hertfordshire County Festival and our end of season "Mini Rangers Tour" details to be confirmed shortly.

The club offers social events for both the kids and parents. We encourage everyone to join in, it’s your rugby club. We’re proud to be part of Tring Rugby.

Remember all new players (boys, school year 7) are welcome to join in training sessions and can try the sport for a few weeks without commitment. All abilities are always welcome, there's absolutely no need for prior experience and we’re a friendly bunch. All of our coaches are RFU trained.

So, if you're new to rugby and you’d like to have a go please either just pop along to a training session (please check the fixture lists) or drop me a line if you have questions or just want a chat on U12@tringrugby.com

See you in September
