Last Sunday we took 4 mixed ability squads to Aylesbury for a great
morning of rugby. As was always going to be the case, due to
Aylesbury's low numbers, we were only able to play a limited number of
games against their two sides - thank you for your patience with this.
However, we were able to keep momentum going with a couple of Tring v
Tring fixtures which were, if anything, more competitive than the
Aylesbury games!

Although the morning was really more of a joint training session, it
was good to see our squads running in many more tries overall than
they conceded. The fixture will have shown everyone the increasing
importance of the physical side of the game - rucks win ball, and
tackles save matches. The fixture also gave us the opportunity to see
some of our new recruits in action. Luke Hopcroft, Beau Naylor and
Vinnie Dunn in particular announced their arrival with a fanfare. Well
done guys - keep smiling and keep up the good work!

Next Sunday we are at the Amersham and Chiltern Festival.
Unfortunately, we can only take 24 players, making selection difficult
as we now have so many talented players to choose from, but the
following Saturday 18th we will be fielding a different squad at the
Bishop's Stortford Development Festival to give other players a
tournament opportunity. For this weekend, if your player's name
appears below, PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR AVAILABILITY BY RETURN. You will
find details for the day attached.

PLEASE NOTE: registration closes at 9.30 so please arrive 9.15 latest.
Also, I have had it confirmed that Squad & Team sizes for our age
group are incorrect as stated in the rules (they should be 12/8). Any
problems on the day, my mobile number is 07710 582831, Giles: 07770
747777 .

For those not at A&C, there will be training at Cow Lane as usual 10-12.

All the best,

Mike
