Huel Tring Rugby U9s is an exciting stage in a player's rugby journey as we begin to introduce contact skills in a safe, progressive and enjoyable environment.

Our priority remains creating a fun, inclusive and positive experience where every player feels confident to get involved, try new things and develop at their own pace. Contact is introduced progressively, with coaches focusing on building confidence, technique and safety before intensity.

Players continue to develop their running, passing, catching, evasion and decision-making, while learning the foundations of effective ball carrying, tackling and supporting teammates in contact.

Through small-sided games, Game Zones and Skill Zones, players are given plenty of opportunities to explore the game, solve problems and transfer their developing skills into realistic rugby situations.

Our aim is simple: give every U9 player the confidence, skills and enjoyment to embrace contact, make their own decisions and continue developing a lifelong love of rugby at Huel Tring.

Training sessions will take place on Sunday mornings from 9am until 10.30am
